Tarrant County Democratic Party Sponsors the 7th Annual Community Parade and Celebration Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Fort Worth, TX – January 17, 2025 – The Tarrant County Democratic Party (TCDP) invites the community to join in unity with the Neighborhood Parade Committee’s 7th Annual Community Parade and Celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This special event will take place on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at Eastover Park, located at 4300 Ramey Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76105.

The event will begin with a lineup at 9:00 AM at Eastover Park. The parade route spans 2.2 miles, offering participants the opportunity to walk together in solidarity while commemorating Dr. King’s enduring impact on civil rights and social justice. This year’s theme is “Walk in Unity,” emphasizing the importance of coming together as a community to honor the principles of equality, justice, and peace.

“Dr. King’s dream of a united and equitable society continues to guide us today,” said County Chair Crystal Gayden.”This parade is important in East Fort Worth because it reminds the community of the progress Dr. King made for our civil rights movement.”
