Patrice Jones selected to serve as Vice Chair of Tarrant County Democratic Party

Community organizer and nonprofit leader joins party leadership to help build record grassroots strength

FORT WORTH, Texas — At a moment of renewed energy, historic organizing and expanding Democratic infrastructure in Tarrant County, Patrice Jones has been selected by Tarrant County Democratic Party Chair Allison Campolo, Ph.D., to serve as the party’s next Vice Chair.

Campolo’s selection will be followed by  asking the Party’s record-setting number of Tarrant County Democratic Precinct Chairs to ratify the appointment, during the next quarterly  meeting of the County Executive Committee on June 10.

Jones is a social entrepreneur, impact architect and community organizer. She brings a deep record of building community-driven solutions to address systemic inequities in underserved Black and Brown communities. Her work has focused on improving health, expanding economic opportunity, increasing civic engagement and strengthening overall quality of life.

“We are grateful that someone so community-oriented has agreed to join our leadership team,” Campolo said. “Patrice has spent years doing the essential work that strengthens democracy from the ground up. As a precinct chair, election judge, grassroots organizer and community advocate, her experience serving voters directly makes her exactly the kind of leader we need as we expand our work across Tarrant County.”

Her selection comes as the Tarrant County Democratic Party enters the 2026 election cycle with one of its most robust and diverse lineup of candidates on the ballot in a generation. Additionally, the Party has an increasingly solid budget designed to support a coordinated
campaign focused on electing Democrats across the ballot, from local races to statewide offices. And earlier this year, the Party also launched a formal endorsement program for local races and propositions, expanding its role in municipal, school board and ballot measure elections.

Jones serves as executive director of By Any Means 104, known as BAM104, a nonprofit organization committed to building a self-determined, accountable and engaged community. The organization’s inaugural program, Southside Community Gardens, was launched to combat food insecurity and health disparities in Fort Worth’s 76104 ZIP code, an area historically identified as having the lowest life expectancy in Texas.

Since February 2021, Southside Community Gardens has helped build more than 80 community gardens. They now serve more than 200 residents and families through a growing network of home gardeners, community partners and organizers working to expand access to fresh food, sustainability education and food justice.

Before stepping fully into community advocacy and nonprofit leadership, Jones built a diverse professional background as an independent insurance adjuster, life and health insurance specialist and bartender. She is also the owner of Impact Ventures LLC and Impact Document Solutions, where she provides notary, loan signing and legal document preparation services for attorneys and clients across the community.

Tarrant Democrats have recently announced more than 310 active precinct chairs, among the highest ever recorded, along with more than 132 new precinct chair applications submitted since July 1, 2025. The party also reported more than 30,000 voter contacts in February alone.

Jones said, “My heart is in the neighborhoods where I grew up and my passion comes from the underserved communities I advocate for. These are the spaces where neighbors look out for each other, and fight for everyone’s future. Black women across Tarrant County have long been the backbone of our civic life, organizing, volunteering and voting without always having a seat at the table. In this new role, I want to change that narrative. We will work intentionally to lift up and empower the very women who carry so much of this work. When the voices that are closest to the ground are also shaping our decisions, we can build a Democratic Party that truly reflects and serves our communities.”

With a growing precinct chair network, a strengthened leadership structure and a coordinated campaign strategy taking shape for November 2026, the Tarrant County Democratic Party said Jones’ selection reflects its continued focus on building durable, community-centered political power.
