I support Proposition 5 because it closes a loophole that taxes animal feed while it is in a store as inventory. Currently, animal feed is not taxed at any other transaction during its lifecycle. This proposition addresses this inconsistency and provides farmers and ranchers with the financial support necessary to continue providing for our state.
